I have a friend that has ALS and has had it for more than 20 years. She is 47 years old and has the greatest husband for he stands beside her and is there for her. Hi Michelle, Your site is such a blessing and encouragement! We've been praying for you at home and at church. David mentioned your web site a few weeks ago - I'm so glad it was forwarded to us! I accepted Christ at the age of 36 in 1996 after my five year old little boy was hit by a car and died upon impact on the street in front of the sidewalk where his six year old sister and I were standing. Hi Michele,
I learned about your website through an extended cousin of my husband, Bill Faith. I have only had time to visit part of it but want to thank you for your words of inspiration. I have been a Christian for a long time, and have worked with the disabled for a long time too. We all really have some disability for we all are dependent in some way on someone else, and especially on God. I have learned much from those who have a disability and am so thankful for all that they have taught me. I am a pediatric physical therapist, and so work mostly with children with cerebral palsy and their families. Sometimes, even though I don't have a "disability", I wish that God would take away the things that I struggle with...until I realize that those are the very things that keep me dependent more on Him - when I realize this, I begin to thank Him for these things (though my human self still wishes they were gone, I can see how He works through them). Thank you for sharing of yourself. May God continue to draw you closer to Himself.

Michelle, I recently heard of your illness and your website is very touching. My prayers are with you and your family. I have looked back at our years as kids and I remember our trip to Florida and that is something I will remember forever. I guess we always ask why things have to happen but God has a plan for all of us. With both of us living in Lafayette I never seem to run into you Im really bad about keeping up with people. Michelle, Your special husband told me about your websight. You are a very fortunate woman to have a man that stands besides you and is faithful and supportive of you. There are very few people in this world who have experienced the kind of love your husband has for you. After 44 years I have found a man who also has Christ in his life and it makes all the difference in the world. I know the peace you feel by giving your life over to Jesus. I have a hard time putting into words the joy and comfort he has brought into my life. You have done it very well.
