I'm a Civil Engineer for a municipality, married (8 years!), love my dog (and hamster and fish), own a house (lots of DIY and gardening to do), love reading, crafting, and sleeping in.

Feedback is appreciated, but please remember this is a completely unedited rough draft, so there will be problems. I'd change a lot if I went back to edit it, but I don't think it's too shabby for a month's work.

This is the biography I posted on my blog account, I'm not sure it's much in the way of info, but it should at least tell you a little about me...

I suppose I should put something here, but it's hard to come up with anything that doesn't make me feel vaguely inadequate. Trying to fit yourself into a blurb is tough, especially trying to do it in a creative way! So, I will just say I'm one of those "jack of all trades, master of none" types and I do get caught up in the minutia. I've been told I AM Hermione from the Harry Potter series, which is people's political way of saying I'm a smart-alec know-it-all. But that's okay, and slightly better than the alternative.

Favorite book quote of all time: "Ford, you're turning into a penguin. Stop it."
(That just cracks me up every time...)

Favorite movie quote #1: "You keep saying that word. I do not think it means what you think it means"
(Very handy in everyday conversation, actually.)

Favorite movie quote #2: "One plus two, plus one, plus one..."

Favorite question: "What's the air speed velocity of an unladened swallow?"
(You know when people ask you , "So, do you have any questions?" I always do..."

Favorite TV line: "I reject your reality and substitute my own"
(Also handy in everyday conversation.)

If you know the origin of all of these quotes... Well, I'm not sure what is says about you, other than you're disturbingly similar to me. I'll let you decide whether or not that's a good thing...

Most of what I post on MySpace is a re-hash of the things I put in LiveJournal, which is my main blog. However, some of my on-line friends post some pretty funny images in my "comments" section, so that's worth checking out - if you're not easily offended. I can't guarentee a PG rating on the comments!

Books, books, and more books!
I can't buy enough, even though Barnes and Noble would love me to. I also check out quite a few from my Local Library, just to save some dough.

Crafts! Can't get enough craft crap!
My craft room is packed to the gills, but still I shop at JoAnn ETC and Michaels. Both also have good craft projects on their web sites.

Sports, sports, and more sports!
Okay, so I'm a militant sports fan. I should be banned from the stadium. I would chuck things at the officials if I thought I wouldn't get in trouble (which I would). I could go on and on about how officials aren't held responsible for the calls they make that crush dreams, but, I won't. My favorite teams are the Cleveland Browns and the Kansas City Royals. And yes, I know they both suck.

Free Stuff!
I get a lot of free movie passes, etc, from my local Entercom radio stations. My favorites are 99.7 KY and 98.9 The Rock, though I also get stuff from WDAF, KUDL and 61 Sports. I do not listen to the buzz for personal (political) reasons. I do listen to 980 KMBZ on occasion, as well as a non-Entercom station, 810 WHB, for Royals's games.

Weird stuff I like on the net...
I absolutely love statistics, and one of my favorite morbid statistics site is the CDC's Leading Causes of Death site. Good to know I'm still in the age group where accidentally hurting myselfs, purposely hurting myself, and someone else hurting me still top mother nature.
