Direct Hits are small ceramic encased capacitors
(bi-polar current peaking capacitors, actually) that install
between the spark plug and plug wire on each cylinder of your
motor. They use Hard Discharge Ignition technology to fire an
intensely hot spark over a very short duration. Below is a before
and after dyno chart that shows the results on a 1996 Ducati
Monster with 944cc displacement, 12:1 compression, ported heads,
Keihin FCR flat slide carbs on stock length manifolds and Dyna
Coils. The exhuast system is Ducati Performance high pipes with
stock headers, the cams are the stock parts. A new set of plug
wires and NGK DP8EA-9 plugs were installed before the tests.
