Despite the abysmal weather up here, I have fallen into the habit of observing the night sky whenever feasible, and eventually found it necessary to build a small backyard observatory for that purpose.

Click left links to see some of my astronomical images, mostly deep sky objects taken with an ST8e and 12" SCT; Since 4-02 I have been using an a 14" SCT on a very sturdy and smooth MI250 GoTo mount Mountain Instruments, pictured below:
