Picnic Ham Cooking Instructions

Put ham in baking dish with ½ inch of water.  Bake ½ hour for each pound of meat at 350 degrees.  (Example: 7 lb ham should take approx. 3 ½ hours.)

Insert meat thermometer into thickest part of ham down to the bone.  The ham should be done when you reach an internal temperature of about 185 degrees.

If you prefer a glaze on your ham, make a mixture of about ¼ cup brown sugar and 1 tablespoon of yellow mustard to put on top.
When you mix the sugar and mustard it should be like a paste.  Smear it all over the top and bake uncovered for about 15 minutes.
