A Different Road

This time its different
I've landed and hit the ground
These feet want to dance again
             Can't play this weeping sound.

The wizard has lost his magic
So, make my coffee to go
             Guess I'll drive the truck
The plane was flying too low.

This time its different
I've landed and hit the ground
Home to the farmhouse steps
             With no bluebirds flying around.

Forget the glass and flashy suits
On to the fields of swaying wheat
             Where the streams run crazy
And the corn is sugary sweet.

This time its different
I've landed and hit the ground
Maybe I'll go fishing
             That's where I'll be found.

This penthouse is not my style
You asked what will I do?
             Don't worry about me darling
I know you'll find someone new.

This time its different
I've landed and hit the ground
Sitting with a country girl
             Who sighs a whispered sound!
