The Enchanting Air Dances A Whispering Tune

Alone

How heavy doth my deeds feel night to day
for fear has long stood, but dare I turn
and eye the truth inside? I sit to pray
to forge no pain yet, how am I to learn?
Wondering, as the breeze lifts the flowers smell
carried by the summer mist, will I still care?
Will my lonely heart never seek this enchanting dell?
Say no more! The lies are too heavy to bear.
Alas! Still alone, for none see the flickering eye.
So, heed my words so plain, no plainer to see.
Behold a heart as fair, turn not from thy road, say I
return this fair favor or 'tis weeping rain to be.
Free thy frigid heart to feast on fairer eyes
as love is whispered with kissing sighs.
