Good Morning
words lie before me
as the steel and brick of a building
yet to be built
alone they can be admired
for their individuality
their shapes
their forms
their substance
i look at them and contemplate . . .
which of you shall I use?
in the thought I wish to convey
there are so many to choose
at last I select the four
my cornerstone for this day
"good morning dear friend"
thoughts drift and mingle
as endless billows surround
and touch the gleaming glass
weaving around the isle
of cemented stone
neon airy bytes flash
searching for a signal
from the sky-filled book
touching lace and vapor alike
wondering which to pick and say
with shades of pink, green and gold
(a smile should feel this way!)
an arrow's speedy race
lands with laughter on your face
(the frown is what i chase!)
within this cheery card I send
a smile to you dear friend
on this you can depend
