Halloween's Toll
The bell at midnight tolling
found her diving from the clouds,
while shadows started falling
across her darkened shrouds.
The demons fly far and wide,
clanking chains of tales obscene.
Wrapped in mist, they quickly glide
summoned by their driven queen.
The moon bathes her crooked flight
heated with a twinge of fear,
as the bats fly into sight
screeching deeds of yesteryear.
Wary of her evil eye,
they give her plenty of room,
excitedly they comply
chanting songs of eerie doom.
Each demon gravely searches
with a scary groaning sigh,
before the sun emerges,
weaving horror through the sky.
My hair stands at attention
and the chills run down my arm,
in frightened apprehension
every nerve screams in alarm.
They drool at the vain bounty,
of the heartless, black as coal
lost in life's dreary alley. . .
clanging, clanking is the toll !
Beware my friend, stay inside,
good advice for Halloween.
Do you know a place to hide
from the chains and guillotine?

The Cyberwitch!
The cyberwitch
is coming!
She's riding on her broom.
She'll ride from here to your house
if she only finds the room.
My server tried to stop her,
the broom kept getting stuck.
She tried to squeeze through anyway.
(I marveled at her pluck!)
She's moving very slowly.
Her hat is all askew.
I hope she makes it to you cause
I wanted to say "BOO".
"Happy Halloween"
from my computer!

Witchy One
I felt an airy breeze and
heard a sounding hiss!
Opening the door, I met a cyber miss.
Her pointed hat, off to one side
and broom oddly bent, obviously from the ride,
"witch" lent her a scary look she never tried to
hide.
She was dressed in black and
missing a shoe,
with a bat on her shoulder who offered no clue.
She laughed and grinned with eyes of fire,
as her cackling voice climbed even higher.
Suddenly yelling
"boo,"
she smiled in delight,
while jumping on her broom, "witch" presented quite a sight.
Singing "Happy Halloween," off she flew in the
night!
