Thoughts of You

				
				I sit quietly

					wondering about you
					about what you think
					about what you do

				I sit patiently

					wishing you were here
					wishing for your smile
					to chase my every tear

				I sit waiting

					for your next letter
					will it end or
					maybe get better

				I sit wanting

					to know your smile
					to know your laugh
					to know you just a while

				I sit questioning

					our days ahead
					the poems we shared
					endearing words we said

				I sit hoping

					to see you soon
					to soar at your touch
					under the moon

  				I wonder if

					I'm on your mind
					or did you leave
					me far behind
