Websites you might not have thought to check out....

A lot of these are government agencies, and you might not have thought to see if there was a children’s page. There are a variety of activities, games, coloring pages to download, several had make your own comic strips. I enjoyed going through these sites to see what they had, I hope you and your children may enjoy them too. It could make for a great discussion on a snow (or ice) day this winter.

The American Library of Congress has many items of interest. Kids can visit here to see what happened on this day in history, American memories and much more.
If your kids love art send them to the National Gallery of Art where they can participate in interactive art works. This is a great site to learn about different types of art, or if your child loves to draw.
Kids can find career information at The Bureau of Labor and Statistics where there's info on scientific careers, math careers and other jobs.
This site cybercrime.govdoes a good job at covering cyber crimes, cyber etiquette and other important net-surfing info. (This one hasn’t been updated since 2002 but I think the scenarios are still valid).
