A bridge should only be used to allow the bluetooth network to connect to the rest of your network (a router or other server). Do not use a bridge directly on a cable/dsl connection (this puts the PPC in a direct connection with the cable modem, which most providers only allow if you pay for more IPs), use ICS instead.
While setting up a network connection it is highly recommended you disable all firewalls and anti-virus software until you have a working connection.

| Typically its easier to leave the PPC on DHCP if your router is giving out Ip's. It will get an IP from the router based on the range set in the router. | ||||
| It is ok to change the final digit in the IP Addresses. If you change the IP of the router be sure to adjust the gateway and primary DNS of the Network Bridge accordingly. And if you change the first three digits of any of the connections be sure to move the other ones in kind, so they remain on the same subnet and can communicate. | ||||
