| BT3030 not working on WinXP Service Pack 2 fix |
| 1. First you have to install the normal BTW software you had, I had v1.2.16 on the CD, and plug in the BT3030.
Right click “My Computer” Property “Hardware” tab Device Manager Bluetooth Radios you should see a device named “Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator”.
Then Right click the device and select “Uninstall”
| 2. Click “OK” to remove device |
| 3. Right click the Device Manager , Bluetooth Radios , “Blutonium BCM2035
Bluetooth 2.4GHz Single Chip Tranceiver” and select “Update Driver
| 4. Select “Install from a list or specific location(Advanced)”, click Next |
| 5. Select “Don’t search. I will choose the driver to install”, click Next |
| 6. Click “Have Disk” to select Bluetooth Dongle’s driver path. Where you have the newer v1.4.2.10 software for BTW, this can be on a CD or on a folder on your PC |
| 7. Put on the TECOM Bluetooth CD into CDROM and select BTW folder. (or
select the Bluetooth software path you install, for example: C:\Program Files\TECOM\Bluetooth Software\bin\btwusb.inf.), click OK.
| 9. Then when it finds the Bluetooth device driver, click Next |
| 10. It starts to install Bluetooth Dongle’s driver. After completes update driver, click Finish |
| 11. On the Device Manager, its shows the correct Bluetooth device name |
