The weather was
fantastic, the turnout was great, more people are now mito-aware and the results
are in....
We had 37 registered participants (about half runners and half
walkers) from age 5 to about age 60. Our entry fee was $20, so total raised from
entry fees was $740.00 and adding in the $300.00 as contributions, the grand
total raised was $1,040.00 !!
Splitting the funds evenly, both "Mito-Action" and "The
Mitochondrial Research Guild" at Seattle Children's Hospital will each receive
$520.00.
Many, many thanks to all the runners, walkers, parents,
contributors, and to Officer Travis Ross of the Kent Police Department
for helping make my fundraiser a success !!
I am hosting as my high school senior project a "Winter 5k
Fun Run/Walk". It will be held at Gary Grant Park Soos Creek Trail on
Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM. The address is 13644 SE 208th
St., Kent, Washington. There is limited parking so carpooling is
encouraged.
Participation Fee is $20.00 to get your
run/walk number.

Entry Form - You can click right in the field
(i.e. Name, Address, etc.) and type in the information right into the form.
Then you can print it out and sign. Or it can be printed out and you have
the option to write out the information and sign.
IMPORTANT: Participants under
the age of 18 please have your parent or legal guardian sign.
