Both Ed and Mike Hussey were too busy to be bothered by a customer. Both Carl George and Steve Carol Wanted nothing to do with resolving the situation. Bill Bradford Has told me that Liberty builds to the bare minimum  required by law. As a sign of intelligence, here is has answer to the siding issue "The actions that were taken to correct the problems caused the problem to exist in the first place".( The answer as told to me by Teri Ramsauer). The factory initially did not want to honor the 1 year warranty, We had to fight the factory for that. Every time that the repair crew came out they would say that every thing is well within factory specifications. If it was an obvious problem it was Dealer/Setup issue.  I called down to the Sheridan Oregon plant in April 10, 2002 (in the early morning) and left a message for Sky Slivokoss to call me back and he has not to this day.  On July 6th I received a letter from Carl R. George. The letter says that they are willing to negotiate a settlement. They State in their letter that they want to keep the "negotiations informal". We have a feeling that they are in the process of fending off a law suite or something else that they want to keep us from being a part of that, which might be detrimental to them. This has happened too easily, almost like they are getting too much pressure from some agency that actually wants to do the job they are paid for.  In their most recent letter they have not really harped on their old stand by "Not our fault, We did every thing right so go away".  I just do not believe that a Single consumer could get a large company to change their mind this quickly. I have a bad feeling about this. Everybody that I have talked to say that they do not trust the situation either.

Dear Mr. Baker:

We are legal counsel for Liberty Homes, Inc. ("Liberty").

Liberty has recently become aware that you are operating and/or authoring an Internet site at the URL <http://home.comcast.net/~spear39>, containing, in part, false and misleading allegations of fact directed towards, and regarding, Liberty and its products and services.  These allegations constitute libel as they are defaming Liberty's business reputation.  Further, your continual and repetitive telephone calls to Liberty's offices constitute harassment.

We demand that you immediately cease and desist these activities, including, but not limited to, the immediate removal of any and all references or allegations of fact directed to Liberty in any Internet site that you control and/or author.  Please be advised that if you continue making such false factual allegations or harassing telephone calls to Liberty, Liberty may initiate all available legal action, as your conduct would potentially constitute, among others, defamation, harassment, and tortious interference with Liberty's contractual relationships and commercial expectancy, in violation of applicable federal and state laws.

If you were to be found liable in any such action(s), you will be responsible for an award of damages in addition to Liberty's attorney's fees and costs in pursuing such action(s).

Please do not underestimate the seriousness of this matter nor Liberty's resolve in protecting its rights.  We therefore demand that you confirm, in writing, your agreement to comply with this demand by the close of business on or before September 26, 2003.

This letter is sent without waiving any of Liberty's rights or remedies in this matter, all of which are expressly reserved.
