Although the TomTom ONE LE seems to have a pretty complete set of icons (especially when
compared to the TomTom ONE 3rd  Edition), there are a few features that you may,
from time to time, want to have access to at least on a temporary basis.

A couple of these features might include the following:

I, personally, don't use this all that much on my TomTom ONE LE, but those with a
3rd Edition might find this pretty handy.

It is important to note that not all icons that you see in the default menu for the TomTom ONE LE
will be available for including in your custom menu.  This is primarily because some of these features
are brand new with the Navcore7 operating system and TomTom has not made these available
for 3rd party software writers that create custom menus.

A couple of these features include:

You can find instructions on how to create a custom menu below:

1.  There are two programs that I know of that allow you to generate your own Menu:
            a) Online menu generating using >>> SKUX Menu Builder <<<
                    - Instructions on how to use are on the linked website
            b) Standalone PC program that you download, called >>> TomTom Menu Designer <<<
                    - Instruction on how to use are found >> HERE <<

The filename that will be generated from either program is
TomTom.mnu

2.  Plug in your TomTom to your PC

3.  Turn on your TomTom

4.  Using Windows Explorer, find your TomTom device (it will have the little red TomTom icon next to it: )

5.  Click the little "+" sign next to the TomTom icon to expand the folders:

6.  Create a folder under the root folder ( in my case) named SdkRegistry
        - You can see in the above image that I already created this folder
        - Again, the TomTom is case sensitive, so make sure the 'S' and the 'R' are the only capital letters

7.  Copy the TomTom.mnu file from step #1 into the  folder

NOTE:  For those with a TomTom ONE 3rd Edition, I have created a pretty all-inclusive menu.  You may want
to just use this *.mnu file I created and copy it into the /SdkRegistry folder without worrying about creating
     your own:
>>> My TomTom.mnu File <<<

For those who want a pretty all-inclusive menu, I have created the following menu:

8.  On your windows lower right icon task menu, click on the safely remove hardware icon:

9.  When Windows states it is safe to remove your hardware, disconnect your TomTom from your PC.

10.  Power off your TomTom

11.  Now whenever you power on your TomTom, your custom menu will be the menu that appears as your interface.

NOTE:  You cannot dynamically switch between using your custom menu and the default menu provided
with the TomTom ONE LE using the TomTom itself.  You only have access to one menu or the other.
To get back to using the default menu, simply rename or delete the TomTom.mnu file and turn the
TomTom off and then back on.  The absence of the TomTom.mnu file will force the TomTom to use the
                      original default built-in menu.

HOWEVER, there is a program called MenuTT that allows you to jump back and forth between
your custom menu and the TomTom's default menu, allowing you access 'on-the-fly'.   Please jump to
                      my write-up on this program:

ALTERNATIVELY:  You can use a text editor to edit the *.mnu file and put text commands into the file.
Here is a good open source page that describes the syntax and commands for the *.mnu file:
>>>  opentom.org <<<
