I purchased this 1967 Dodge Dart GT
Convertible from a man in Fort Meyers, Florida in December of 1999.
I knew that it would be a project car, but it was not quite in the shape
I expected. First the man said that
it was running (and it did not) and failed to mention that the top did not
function and that the front seats were not original.
The top I could live with as long as it was in good shape-which it was,
but the seats not being original was really disappointing.
Since I had had the other Dart I knew how hard certain things were to
find and seats are one of those things! Originally it
had a 6 cylinder engine and an automatic transmission.
We had an extra 273 v8 in the shop from another Dart that my dad had
years ago. So we began the rebuild.
Here are some of the engine build up pictures.
