This is my toy, a 1990 Toyota Celica All Trac.
This car is awesome! I
purchased it in October of 2003 from an Ebay auction.
I was not completely satisfied with the seller, he neglected to tell me
that the AC did not work nor did the sunroof.
But it made the trip from NJ to FL perfectly.
A little history: The engine was supposedly rebuilt in July of 2003. I say supposedly because I am not so sure that they did ANYTHING. It has an oil leak from somewhere, the radiator leaks, the power steering pump is leaking, and the clutch needs to be replaced! What kind of a place does a complete engine rebuild and leaves the car with this many problems. When I purchased the car it had just been painted (the crap paint job that MAACO does) and had 4 new 215/50-15 Kumho ECSTA 711 tires on it.
I had a 1990 Toyota Celica GT-S when I first got out of high school and I loved the car. But, three years later I decided that I wanted a brand new vehicle while I could afford a high payment. That's when I got the Blazer and I sold the GT-S to my boyfriend at the time. By the way, he still has the car! Anyway I have missed the car pretty much since I got rid of it.
I have been wanting a Ferrari Testarossa (long story) and I would search Ebay like everyday for what was out there. There was no way that I was getting one any time soon so I started to look at GT-S' again. In my search for one of those I found the All Trac. I was not sure that I wanted it, but I went for it and I am glad I did.
**Update 08-25-2004**
Well I have had this car for almost a year now and I am very happy with it. I have done a lot of little things that make it more special to me. I did a lot of work cleaning overspray from the CRAPPY MAACO job, the tailpipes, the gas tank cover, the tow rings, etc. Of course replacing everything that is broken is also a little treat for me. I replaced things like the center console cover, the door lights, the radio bezel, the cup holders, put a turbo badge on the hatch, and the door tweeter covers.
I also loaned my brother the money to buy himself one, he found a black one in St. Louis. He loves his also. He does not have the money I do to fix the little things so he just concentrates on what needs to be fixed. His also has leather interior.
Then I kind of decided that I really liked the ST165's, so I found one in Georgia for my dad to use as a school project. I can't wait for that to be running, what a sleeper it will be.
