"Somewhere
on a Cross" reminds us that Jesus loved us so much that He sacrificed
His Life for us, just as we are, with all of our flaws.
He called His disciples two thousand years ago, and He calls us now, to
strive for a better life, filled with Service and Love for God and for
each other.
He
beckons to us to come forth from our "tombs", and to break the
shackles of sin and degradation which confine and imprison us.
Calvary can never
be forgotten, but our Christ wants us remember Not when or Where He died
but Why He died, to free us from our sin, so that we can be reborn to a
New Life in Him.
Somewhere
on a Cross
Anthony Siino
Somewhere
on a cross He died for me,
Ransomed
up his life, there on
Calvary
,
For
me with all my sins, as worthless as can be,
Yet
somewhere on a cross He died for me.
Sometime
in the night, just before the dawn
He
rose from death to life, that first Easter morn
To
free me from my tomb of sin and misery
And
sometime in the night, He rose for me.
And
never have I known, a love as deep as His
My
soul healed by His touch
My
spirit by His kiss
And
somehow in my life, He calls to me
He
speaks to mind and heart and sets my spirit free
To
be a guiding light and shine out brave and true
And
sometime in your life, Listen, He’ll call to you
Now
I to all the world, reveal His endless love
To
hopeless and oppressed, salvation from above
Somewhere
on a cross He died for me,
Ransomed
up His life there on
Calvary
,
Should
all the world deny Him, I would still believe
