Excellent Condition

Perhaps the rarest of all Phillipson Rods, the 8'
3/2 Peerless 63, in my career this is only the second
one I have had the pleasure of owning. With a very sweet
med/fast, mid flex Dry Fly Action. Soft tip for working in close
and a strong butt section to reach out and touch someone, is
a mirror image of the Dry Fly Special...

Note: The open spiral windings are prone to rubs,
so I have done the maintenance of putting a fresh coat
of marine spar varnish to protect your investment...

This fine little Orvis Battenkill Wand has a Brisk, Medium-Fast,
Tip-Flex Action in the 5w Class ( Marked 7w ) I like a 5wWF
line on this wand but it has the power to handle a 6wWF if
needed and depending on the conditions you are fishing.
A perfect wand for small to medium/large waters with effortless
  presentation of the smallest flies and tippet without a lot
of movement or disturbance to a trout sipping midges, emerges
or drys on your favorite waters but the power to cast larger
dry flies and smaller streamers when needed.

Here we have the most beloved Hardy ever built,
the Phantom. During the 1970's the Phantom
was one of the top rods with a strong, smooth
full mid flex para action that loads close in
but could reach out and touch someone. Great
for medium to smaller pocket waters where
accuracy and control is everything...

Old Faithful Rod Co.
Challenger - 8' - 3/2 - 4/5w
Original Ex+++ Condition

Here we have a very interesting Granger Rod, built
in the late 40's on 8040 blanks and marketed thru
Old Faithful Rod Co to circumvent the existing
marketing contracts it inhered from the Goodwin
Grange Rod Co. They could not use the full nickel
silver reel seat deigned by Bill Phillipson that made
the Goodwin Granger so noticeable, so a new seat was
designed and the rod is wrapped in Dark Brown. Having
the same med/fast mid flex action of the 8040 at a
bargain price...

Notice: The tube has a Replacement cap, with
a 90% label...

Here we have one of my favorite Orvis rods, the Superfine.
with a very sweet light to the touch med/fast, mid/flex,
almost Parabolic action that is sure to please. Perfect on
smaller waters but has the shoulders to venture out into
medium waters with class and style...
