"Spot the Dog"  was originally formed from "Patchwork" established in Stuttgart Germany 1996 by Greg & Katherine Alderete, and our musical mentor; Peggy Frede.  Patchwork disbanded in the summer of 1998 then reunited from  2000 until 2002.   In 2002 we reformed under the name "Spot the Dog", when our friend of many years, Alan Brown, long time bassist for "Wickerman" and  founder of "Brownstock" joined to play acoustic bass.  In 2006 we added Craig Ross, one of the best drummers in the Pacific Northwest, rounding out our sound with full percussion.  Our music is acoustic, simple and harmonic appealing to the young and old.  We have performed for many Northwest private parties, weddings, charity events, and public venues. We call the Olympia Farmers Market our home. "Spot the Dog" plays Tacoma acoustic guitars exclusively (Pre-Fenders). We will keep our calendar current to let you know where and when we are playing.
