St. Pius X Religious Education
Mission Statement
The Religious Education Department is committed to fostering a faith filled and prayerful program encouraging families to pray daily, attend Sunday Liturgy and use the sacraments regularly, thereby living in the fullness of sanctified grace which will strengthen their daily walk with our Lord to holy sainthood.
Policies of the Religious
Education Program
- Every child is entitled to a
Catholic religion education.
- Every child may receive the sacraments following proper instruction and sacrament requirements.
- The Director of Religious Education will handle discipline problems that cannot be handled in the classroom. The parent will be called if the problem persists.
- If weather conditions are severe and St. Pius X school has been closed that day, there will be no CCD classes in the evening. Listen to the radio and watch Channel 12 news for more information. There will be a message on the answering service in regards to this matter.
5. All grievances will be heard by the catechist and by the Director of Religious Education, if needed.
The following programs are
available through St. Pius X
Religious Education Program:
- Preschool Program for children
ages 3-Kindergarten, in school.
- Children's Liturgy- dismissal program for the Gospel. 1st-4th grades, in the Library.
- Wednesday evening Religious Education for grades 1-7, in the school.
- Wednesday evening Religious Education for the deaf, multi-level, taught by a deaf catechist. Interpreters are available for all occasions.
- Wednesday evening Religious
Education for those with special
needs, multi-level.
- Sunday morning Religious Education for Confirmation grades 8-10, in the school.
- Religious Education for high school students ( Youth Group). Faith enrichment, service and evangelization are strongly incorporated into this program, in the community room.
8. Nursery is available during the Sunday Liturgy upon request.
