Consultant (through Magley & Associates)

·        Created and maintained Excel tools to track numerous sales metrics. Designed interfaces (control buttons, menus, etc) for managers to import raw sales data into Ex= cel, select time and product parameters, and generate reports. Automated the pro= cess of summarizing sales and inventory results from Department-level Excel spreadsheets to Division- and Company-level.

·        Created Acc= ess tools that combine sales and store attribute information. End-users select stores, products, dates, etc, from menus, and then create customized reports with one click.

Pacific Bell, February 1997 to March 2000

Consultant (through ROMAC International)

·        Maintained = Excel database of sales for Pac Bell products. Used vba to automate sales reporti= ng and to generate forecasts. Designed Excel and Access interfaces allowing en= d-users to view reports and graphs by selecting products from menus.

·        Maintained database of company spending. Created Excel and Access tools that allowed end-users broad flexibility to query this data and generate reports.

Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, October 1993 to May 1996=

Cons= ultant (through The People Connection)

·        Helped crea= te a survey of financial institutions regarding the Fed’s move from paper-based to image-based check processing. Compiled survey data into Excel and Access databases. Used MS Word (with embedded Excel graphs) to create f= inal report of results.

·        Wrote code = to automate the data analysis. The project began using an earlier Excel macro language, and switched to vba in 1995.

Tri-Valley Growers, April 1991 to April 1993

Consultant (through Madsen)

·        Worked with= the Claims department to migrate their paper-based system for tracking claims write-offs to a Lotus 1-2-3 database. Wrote macros to maintain this database and generate reports from it. After a year, migrated this system t= o Excel.

Del Monte Foods USA, June 1986 to June 1989

·        Used Lotus 1-2-3 to manage a database of freight accounting data and genera= te reports.

·        Created and managed the sales database for the Hawaiian Punch department. Created sales reports using Lotus spreadsheets and graphs along with map-generating softw= are.
