The
Driver (aka Froggy)
You've guessed it, this is called Mad Frog racing because the driver of the car is originally from France, and a little bit crazy at times. So there you go, cheesy, easy, and it has a nice ring to it - at least, I think so.
I've been in the states for over 15 years now, and have always been a car nut. I often find myself helping friends pick their cars, go on test-drives with them, etc.
My father use to be a club racer in the '60s, in a Honda S800 coupe. He was also a high-performance driving instructor, and eventually owned his own shop, in Cannes, France. Yeah, I know, tough place to grow up, eh?
I guess you could say that I was raised around motorsports: the weekly F1 Grand Prix or Motorcycle Grand Prix were mandatory on Sunday afternoons at the grand-parents' house. I have also long been an adrenaline and speed junky. From motocross to white water kayaking, sailing, rock climbing - you name it, I've probably tried it. One notable exception is skydiving, although I intend to remedy that in the (hopefully) near future.
I am now married and have two young kids (2 and 4 year olds at the time of this writing) which makes it very difficult to find the time to build the race car. But I am not in a big hurry. I'd rather take my time and do it right than botch it in a hurry.
Below are a couple of pictures of the family...
