About Steve and his Orchid's

Welcome to my web pages featuring photographs of my orchid collection and cultural information for beginners. Orchids are fun and relatively easy to grow. My experience dates back to 1990 when I obtained my first "no name" orchid plant (Dendrobium) from Home Depot. Well I nearly killed it but then managed to bring it back from the dead! Since then I have learned a great deal about orchids and have added over 50 additional plants to my collection. I do not have a greenhouse. I grow my orchids in the basement under fluorescent lights during the Winter months and out of doors in the Summer at my home located in Middlesex county Massachusetts.

Additional pictures of plants that are currently in bloom will be added frequently so please check back often! The photographs in this collection were taken with either a digital camera (Nikon 995) or a 35mm SLR (Pentax Super Program). The film used is Kodak Gold 200.
