St. Rose of Lima Parish Capital Campaign
"Faith in Our Future"

Overview Legacy for Our Mission Campaign

As the Church of Jesus Christ, we are called to build upon the good works begun here long ago by the pioneers of faith who came to central and southern Indiana from distant lands. In spite of many hardships and great adversity, the priests, religious women and lay Catholics who built this local church persevered in their faith. They carried on the mission of Christ through their worship, through service to and educating others in the faith, and through their sacrificial gifts.

Because of their generosity, we're blessed with parishes, schools, hospitals, social service agencies and religious houses that give glory to God and that continue the ministry of Christ in all regions of our archdiocese. It is a precious legacy that we must hand on to others - for our children and the future. This is the “Legacy for Our Mission” that we are called to continue.

The Legacy for Our Mission Campaign is a comprehensive, archdiocesan-wide initiative aimed at achieving the following objectives:

· Generate capital, endowment, and direct ministry funds to strengthen parishes and archdiocesan ministries as outlined in the campaign plan
· Further the education in and practice of stewardship
· Continue to implement the strategic plans of parishes and the archdiocesan Church.

Every parish will have a benchmark based on Sunday and Holy Day Collections that serves as a measurable target for pledges and participation. Beyond the benchmark, a parish may set a higher goal (not yet established by St. Rose) that reflects the special vision of the parish and the local resources available to meet the parish vision. An RSI consultant will work with parish leadership to develop a campaign plan.

Parishes can include capital, endowment, and direct ministry goals in the parish case for support. Capital projects may include renovation, expansion, or deferred maintenance needs. Endowment funds may be designated for general parish/school operations, physical plant maintenance, or the various ministry priorities of the parish.

Every family in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis will be given the opportunity to consider an informed, thoughtful, and a prayerful three-year pledge to the campaign. Support from all members of the archdiocese will be needed to make the campaign ministry objectives a reality.
