BYRNES Peter J. Byrnes Computer software designer, of
Raritan, 59 Peter J. Byrnes, 59, of Raritan
entered eternal life on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006, surrounded by those he loved.
Services will begin on Saturday at 8 a.m. at The Bongiovi
Funeral Home, 416 Bell Ave., Raritan, with a 9 a.m. Funeral Mass celebrated at
St. Ann Church, 45 Anderson St., Raritan. Interment will be in St. Bernard
Cemetery, Bridgewater.
Visitation was Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at The Bongiovi
Funeral Home (908) 725-1887. Born in New York, N.Y., Mr. Byrnes lived in Westfield
before moving to Raritan six years ago. He received
his B.S. in electrical engineering from Manhattan College
and was a computer software designer for Rutigliano
& Associates in Steelmantown for over 20 years.
Mr. Byrnes served in the Medical Corps of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He loved reading, walking and was very athletic. He enjoyed working out and was
a huge fan of baseball and football, especially the Giants. He deeply loved his
family and was loyal to his friends. Forever in our hearts.
He is survived by his son, James William Byrnes of Edison; his daughter,
Rebecca Marie Byrnes of Tewksbury; his sister,
Peggy and her husband, Michael Ryan of Rye, N.Y.; his best friend, Vincent Rutigliano,
for whom he worked, and his loving fiancee, Loni Polidoro of Raritan.
