Jr Open Water Diver Certification 
Don't let the title mislead you. The skill requirements are not modified or reduced to allow children to learn to dive. Jr divers must meet all the same skills and knowledge requirements as the adult course. The same laws of physics apply to everyone equally regardless of age , race , religion or ethnicity, while the safety of scuba diving has become extremely safe over the years there is always situations that might come up while underwater. The situations that can happen while underwater is what the training is all about and everyone must be trained to be able to overcome these calmly and safely.
The only difference in the Jr Open water certification card and the Open water certification is divers 12 to 14 years of age are qualified to dive only when accompanied by another certified diver who is of legal age. The Jr open
water student will be required to take the same exams as the adults and will be required to study the same as the adult.
My daughter Kendra Kleinfelt learned scuba diving at the age of 13. Kendra successfully completed Advanced Diver Training , Rescue Diver Training and now is currently enrolled as my Dive Master in training.
