Steve Weiss's New Page

• My wife, Steffi, is a cell biologist who loves walking, reading mysteries, gardening, and is having fun studying the Hebrew language.
• Our first son, Jonathon, went to MIT like his dad. He graduated in 1993, and stayed there after graduation to work as a systems administrator, programmer, and team leader for Athena Server Operations. He loves bicycling, canoeing, and ice-skating. He does not have a homepage, and here it isn't
• Our second son, Jeremy, graduated from Lehigh University in 1998 with a degree in Computer Science. He was married in May, 2000, and his wife is a graduate student at The University of Maryland. He now works for Ajilon as a consultant, and is doing Unix Systems Administration and other work under contract with Verizon. Jeremy is fond of Animé, fantasy role-playing, music, chocolate, and his wife (not necessarily in that order).
• Our Dog, Darwin, a Black Puli (Hungarian Sheepdog).

With our kids grown and gone, this recent picture of us on vacation shows just Steve and Steffi. It was taken in front of Akaka Falls on the Island of Hawaii in January, 2000.

Darwin doesn't go on vacations, so his picture was taken a few years ago in Eberwhite Woods, which is his favorite stomping grounds. He likes chasing squirrels, consuming snow (when available, but not yellow snow), and telling all the other dogs that he's in charge of the woods. He's not very big, but he likes to scare meter-readers and other burglars. He's very good at this. Click on Darwin for a high-resolution (71Kb) view.
