Our most exciting acquisition this year is not seasonal. It is our new Subaru Forester.

Eberwhite Woods brings us beautiful wildflowers every Spring. Here are some yellow Adder's Tongues (aka Trout Lilies).

A white Trillium flower. There are also purple ones in the woods.

A whole field of flowers covers the floor of the woods.

This shows our new car parked in front of our house. In early spring, the leaves are not out yet on the apple trees, but they still partially block the view of the house because the blossoms are preparing to open.

Here is a better view of the house. You can see Steffi's rose garden, although the roses have only recently been uncovered. The evergreens dominate it at this time of year.

Our dog, Darwin, is a Puli. This breed, a Hungarian sheepdog, grows an enormous quantity of hair. It's adorable, but by this time of year, it acts like velcro, capturing everything he passes near in the woods, and bringing it into the house. Something has to be done about it.

A crewcut is the only solution. Here is how he looked a few days later. He gets this treatment every year. He's very comfortable this way, but neighbors are still occasionally fooled into thinking that we have a new (much smaller) dog.
