Here
is highlighted news that I've collected through the week
Hi
friends,
Thank
you to those who read my update and took action last week.
I've added bullet # 2 to my update this week, to remind friends
"why Jerry just wont give up." Please bear
with me, I need your support. I already said it last week but
I have to THANK Kathleen & Richard again, for donating to
MassEquality.
I need to ask other friends to consider giving or re-giving
again too. Every dollar that you contribute before November 9th,
will be doubled by an anonymous donor.
I
have called my legislators and learned that the "Vote on
Marriage" group really is slamming the State House with phone
calls, letters and email. They have nation-wide people
calling, in an effort to scare our representatives into allowing the
general public to take away civil marriage protections. I have
also heard their new, very upsetting, radio commercial for
myself. Please consider clicking on the email links above to
send just one email a week for my protection. If we lose
marriage protections in MA, we can potentially be set back years of
effort for equal protection... I will lose my marriage
protections which I really need.
New
Jersey's Supreme Court ruled this past week in favor for EQUAL
PROTECTIONS for all state residents. Its important to note
that they did not necessarily rule in favor of the term MARRIAGE,
just the protections associated with marriage. If we can
maintain marriage protections here in MA, the rest of the nation,
including New Jersey can see that equal support of all citizens, gay
or straight threatens no one... We can be THE factor of this country
moving forward... But first things first, this damn petition
effort... ("excuse my French") I'm really getting
stressed out over this.
Your
friend,
Jerry
