Here is highlighted news that I've collected through the week

Hi friends,

This is it... I write this to you a little late this weekend as I have been working my tail off to support marriage protections. Our friend Cathryn and I picked up 65 more postcard signatures and a possible election day volunteer at the Randolph Country Club last night... (which reminds me that I need to thank them)  - THANKS CATHRYN TOO!

I also had an OP-ED Published side by side with a very nasty one from our opponents.
(Feel free to send in a rebuttal!)

PROPOSED AMENDMENT - Same-sex marriage: The battle continues

WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO MAJORITY RULE? Most in state want marriage to be limited to man and woman

PROPOSED AMENDMENT - Same-sex marriage: The battle continues

DON’T PUT BASIC RIGHTS UP FOR A VOTE; Debate wastes taxpayer money and hurts loving couples

Its like this... WE NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS to collect postcards on elections day.  Please let me know if you can find time to EITHER help out on election day, AND/OR If you can get time off form work to join us at the State House.  This time round it's MOST important that we have supported show up in vast numbers to make as big of a statement to the State House AND the general public as possible. Last time round we were OUT NUMBERED!

PLEASE - get back to me to let me know if you can make it to the State House. WE REALLY NEED every person we possibly can...  SHOUT OUT TO RHODE ISLANDERS... WE CAN USE YOUR ATTENDANCE TOO! - Please let me know!   Just think... If we win, I won't have to harass everyone anymore!

Your friend,

Jerry

DESPERATE NEED OF DONATIONS!

Ed and I have offered our story for MassEquality to use in their next mailing.  We hope that it can help stir some kind of action from our complacent community.
(click here to see the mailing)

I'm sharing it again, with you all with a special request.  Friends, Please send in a donation to MassEquality.  If you send one in right away it will be doubled by an anonymous resource in MA. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT.

"Astonishingly, our side is dangerously complacent. Attendance at our events is down across the state.

While 20 or 30 supporters came to local meetings a year ago, only the same five or six show up now. Half of our past donors have contributed nothing this year. And many of our advocates don’t even know there is a vote.

Meanwhile, the Right has become incredibly organized and energized to defeat us:

• Family Research Council president Tony Perkins is hosting a live broadcast from Tremont Street in Boston to 80 million people nationwide, mobilizing the Right to overturn marriage equality in Massachusetts; local pastors heavily involved

• Legislators are now receiving more postcards from the other side than from ours
