It's quiet...
TOO QUIET

Hi Friends,

First things First:

THANK YOU TALLESSYN! Thank you for writing to the Patriot Ledger with your inspiring Letter to the Editor!

and...

RIGHT ON JOE! CALLING OUT SENATOR BROWN FOR WHAT HE IS, and calling on him to RESIGN in your Letter to the Editor!

I've been watching the situation here in MA and see that there really isn't a whole lot going on right now.   This is VERY MUCH A CONCERN as the second Constitutional Convention to vote on the marriage amendment could come as early as next week!

Our opposition knows that it is the legislators from South Shore of Boston and the Worcester areas of our state that are our hope for ending this battle once and for all.  They are bombarding legislators like my own, here in Quincy (Senator Morrissey, and Reps Ayers, and Tobin with letters and phone calls... WE NEED TO DO THE SAME.  Please write and call the offices your legislators this coming week... Thanks them if they voted for us, or ask them why they feel the merits of this citizen petition are fair and good for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

If you have comments/feedback that I should include next week, please feel free to use the feedback link to the left.

MASS ANTI-GAY EDITORIAL, BULK MAILINGS:
InNews Weekly has reported that our opposition has organized a system to blast mass amounts of editorial letters to every local news organization possible.  The letters are all templates, repeating the same information, then signed by registered members of anti-gay organizations.   The letters are mailed, faxed and emailed to ensure they reach all the news publications.  I was actually interviewed by InNews Weekly on the topic of letters to the editor and added to this story...  Unfortunately I was mislead on what the main story would be about, and then even WORSE, I was misquoted as supporting the "template idea" when what I was actually saying was that I often provide for friends, bullets of information and commonly ignored facts to use in letters.  We need to maintain a constant flow of positive letters to the press, PLEASE KEEP WRITING! Eeny, meeny, miny, moe
Decisions, decisions. MassEquality has a tough one to make in the special election to replace marriage equality supporter James Leary, who resigned his 14th Worcester District House seat to take a post as Lt. Gov. Tim Murray's chief of staff. The March 20 Democratic primary includes four candidates: Jim O'Day, a social worker and regional vice president for the Service Employees Union Local 509; three-term Worcester City Councilor Philip Palmieri, Paul Shea, a local business owner and Tammy Vescera, a Worcester School Department employee.  (Read More)

Lexington schools challenge anti-gay suit

ANTI-GAY SENATOR BROWN TIRADE AT HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS:
The Attleboro area of MA has a very arrogant Senator (well know for is American Idol contestant daughter) who has been an outspoken opponent of gay people in general, not just of marriage protections.  MA State Senator Brown, seems to feel that his job is impervious to threat, leaving him in the position to state any personal opinion he feels with full support of his constituents.  He must have been SHOCKED to read on-line blogs that state quite the contrary.  When asked to speak at a local high-school, whose majority did NOT agree with his stand, he went on an outrageous and extremely unprofessional tirade shouting out obscenities that he had read on local blogs (pretty much what blogs are known for) and screaming out the names of students that wrote such comments about him.

Honestly, I think the Senator still thinks he is the captain of the a high-school varsity team, where it is acceptable to pick on others and shout obscenities to ensure his "cool-status."  These are the actions of a political leader?!!!  PLEASE Write in to your local papers about this shameful elected official... I will research and post FACTS about this legislator in upcoming editions.
