Arcade Machines and the Gameroom
Here are the four Arcade Machines that have made it to the basement. The Cabal was moved down when we bought the house. However, the Star Wars would not fit down the stairs. Once I had an outside entrance added to the basement though the Star Wars was moved down. The Pac-man was a later addition. This was the Pac-thingy machine when I got it. Played Pac-man with some (bad) conversion Ms Pac-man characters, had no bezel and a Ms Pac-man Marquee. I replaced the ROMS, added a Bezel and replaced the Marquee. I also had to replace the control panel which was a "The Glob" control panel. I also added a Police Trainer gun game to the arcade which the kids really like. Andrew can turn this machine on and off by himself, though he is still not that good. There are also three Pachinko machines (only two work) and a Pachislo Slot Machine in the game room.
I also included some pictures of the game room for an overall view -- things were moved around to make room for the Police Trainer, which seems to have made room for another machine or two. Included is the EM section, Solid State section and the post 84 & DMD sections. You may also notice my glass dining room table that was moved to the basement. Still a good place to get in a game of Axis and Allies or something else once in a while. The Playball, Blackout, Stellar Wars and Laser Ball have been all been sold since these pictures and replaced with a Space Shuttle, Black Knight (which was sold and replaced with Fathom), Power Play and Space Invaders. A Revenge from Mars is also next to Cirqus Voltaire. I have been thinking of intermixing the machines again -- What do people think? Drop me an email and let me know!
For a machine that not too many people seem to know -- Cabal has been a very popular machine in the house. The kids and guests really like this one. Perhaps it is the fact that you can just keep continuing until you finish all the levels (or use all 99 credits). Not sure what my record for finishing the game is yet -- probably around 3-5 credits total!
