Cirqus Voltaire
I got myself a Cirqus Voltaire!!! I have been after this particular machine for probably a year and a half, and finally convinced the operator to sell the machine to me. I had to get a replacement transformer for the neon (they were operating it with string lights since the transformer had burned out). It will still need some good cleaning, replacement ringmaster top and sticker etc.
Oh yeah -- I almost forgot to mention it: this is also a Sample playfield, though with the regular ringmaster head. Anyone know where I can find a sample ringmaster head?
This one will need a cleaning, some replaced bulbs, new ringmaster plate and sticker and some other minor things. I have already fixed a few of the switches.
February 2007: I got around to replacing the ROM set with the 2.0 Home Version... other then loosing my high scores a great addition. I need to find time to play the new ROM set since somebody else has the high score on my game now! I have also managed to accumulate lots of replacement parts for the machine, none of which are installed yet. These include plastics, DMD cover, ringmaster head, plate, spring, pop bumpers and some other items. All NOS. I eventually need to pick up ramps since mine have cracks or spidering.
January 2008: I stripped much of the playfield to replace some parts, only to find out I did not have the right parts. I was able to redo the pop bumpers, add a replacement "WOW" sticker to the ring master head. I also found out that my "NOS" ringmaster metal plate is not beveled to take a screw so I had to reuse the original one. Ugh. Also missed connecting a bunch of wire back together for the switch ramps.
