Solar City
This machine has been driving me crazy to some extent. The left/right lamps for the 5,000 points was not alternating when I first got the machine (ok, nothing was working then). Somewhere, somehow I got it working. However, the machine still had Bally legs on it. I switched them for Gottlieb legs and the left/right lamps stopped switching again -- though if I get the extra ball let, it does change (but does not continue to alternate). I think it has to do with the matching unit, which I know controls the switching. The part driving me crazy though is the match unit was not working when the alternating lights were...
Ok, I figured out the above problem. It was the matching unit, or more specifically the switches around the matching unit. Turned out that the switch was making contact when the matching unit was jammed and not working, but once the matching unit was working it was not holding the switch contact long enough to alternate the lights. In the end, just needed a good switch cleaning and adjustment -- which generally seems to be the problem with EM machines.
Now that this is fully functional, it's probably time to move on -- though this is one I will surely miss. Just do not know where to put everything. Ok, so I have not been willing to part with this game yet. Does not seem that much fun when you first play it, but trying to get all those drop targets down is just addictive.
