Space Shuttle (sold and replaced)

A Williams classic!  This is the machine that saved Williams, and probably the pinball industry back in the '80s.  They got lots of play, which is evident by the playfield.  This one has been around for a while though, and it is time to make room for other machines.

This machine has now moved on to a new family to enjoy.  I know Nicole will miss this one, at least if she is not playing Jurassic Park or Party Zone.

Well, since I sold this machine every time I would ask what her favorite machine is she would say 'sold'.  I started looking for a replacement Space Shuttle -- but finally found another machine she likes:  Lord of the Rings!

It took a long time, lots of coordination but I finally got a replacement Space Shuttle for Nicole, and she loves it.  It needs some work and cleanup, but is playable.  Note that the pictures below are from the older machine -- new pictures will be posted eventually.

[Dec 2008] -- Nicole and I took the time to tear the machine down and shop it out so it is much cleaner and plays better.  I will probably do a flipper rebuild at some point -- but they are doing rather well since I replaced the flipper switches.  I do need to replace the flipper relay though since the flippers activate even if the game is in game over or attract mode.
