Open Discussion:
Fr. Paul explained purpose of meeting was to discuss creating an anniversary book for the church 100th Anniversary. Dan Lyga asked: “What is the purpose of creating a book? Is it a fundraiser or archive of church history?" Fr. Paul responded, both.
Fr. Paul explained the contents of the book. The first pages contain the history of the parish. Next follows letters from dignitaries acknowledging the historical event. Fr. Paul said he would gather the letters from the religious persons, politicians and other dignitaries that make up this section of the book. Memorials to families and business advertisements would follow the acknowledgment section. People wanting to have family memorials or business advertisements would pay a fixed price for full or half pages. It is up to the committee to define the style of the book; to set the price for memorials/advertisements; and to decide how books are distributed.
Fr. Paul had an example of the 75th St. Michaels’ Anniversary book and the anniversary books created for another parishes. The books were soft cover, 8 ½” by 11” bound books containing color covers, varying black and white and color photographs inside. Size of the books varied from 175 to 300 pages. The cost to produce the books was unknown.

At this point, committee discussed the action items for the next meeting.
Action Items:
1. Fr. Paul: Ask Fr. Myshulk the price of the book their parish created.
2. Committee: Decide size;# color pages;# total pages; style of print; cost for ½ and full page memorials/advertisements; # books to be produced.
3. Dan Lyga;Gloria Bugrin;Kris Meinert: Get initial estimates for book cost in quantities 100/200/300 books. Assume camera-ready, digital format will be provided to printer.
4. Fr. Paul & Dan Lyga: Create letter announcing the 100th Anniversary and a form letter describing memorials/advertisement guidelines.
5. Karen Lausier: Draft notes for meeting and send to Dan Lyga.
