NEW FAMILY REGISTRATION — We are continuing the registration process for new families for the 2009 – 2010 school year. If you have family, friends or neighbors with school age children, please tell them about all of the good things that happen here at St. Albert’s, and invite them to become part of our school family. All they need to do is call the school office at 708 424-7757 for further information or to arrange a time to come and visit to see what we are all about. School News
Summer Office Hours The school office will be open from 9 am to 1 pm Monday thru Thursday beginning Monday, June 15th. Please call ahead before stopping in to be sure that someone will be here to help you. 2009 - 2010 Beginning School Schedule · August 20 - First Day of School 1st through 8th grade - 8:00 am - 11:30 am · August 21 - Full Day 1st through 8th grade - 8:00 am - 2:30 pm; Kindergarten orientation 8:00 - 9:30 · August 24 - Full Day - Kindergarten through 8th grade - 8:00 - 2:30 · August 24 - Preschool 4 year old Orientation - 8:00 - 9:00 · August 25 - Preschool 3 year old Orientation - 8:00 - 9:00 · August 26 - Preschool 4 year old students begin; Gym begins Grades Kindergarten through 8th · August 27 - Preschool 3 year old students begin 8:00 - 11:15
PARISH RAFFLE TICKETS: “Summer Fest Carnival” Parish Raffle tickets were sent home before Easter. Please be sure and follow the directions in the letter accompanying the tickets in order to receive proper credit for this parish fundraiser. Each school family is required to sell $100.00 worth of raffle tickets as part of their annual fundraising obligation. There is a tuition credit incentive being offered this year. You will receive a tuition credit of 50% of any amount that you sell over the $100.00 required amount. For example, if you sell $200.00 worth of tickets you will receive a tuition credit of $50.00 (1/2 of the $100.00 sold over the required amount). The deadline for turning in tickets stubs and money is May 15, 2009. The drawing of the winning tickets will take place at the annual parish carnival in August. SUMMERFEST AND CARNIVAL: Mark your calendars for Thursday, August 20—Sunday, August 23, 2009. These are the dates of this year’s St. Albert the Great Summerfest and Carnival. This year the cost of the MEGAPASS has been reduced to $40.00 each and entitles any person, any age to unlimited rides for all four days of the event. On the first day of the Carnival, exchange your MEGAPASS for a wrist bracelet that is good for unlimited rides for all four days! Passes will be available beginning Tuesday, May 26th, at the rectory and school office. BASEBALL MANIA — What is Baseball Mania? St. Albert the Great School’s exciting new fundraiser similar to the Football Mania, Baseball Mania is based on Baseball and each sweepstakes ticket holders has 6 chances to win a prize in each of the 17 weeks of the season (the last 17 weeks of the professional baseball season). Each ticket has a 1 in 40 chance of winning. Tickets are $20 each and are no sale now. Don’t miss out on winning. |
