About Me

I'm a Stars! game host. My job is to setup new games, then find enough people to play them. I'm currently hosting my 11th game on AutoHost, and expect to start several more. My games are all related in a "series". The existing plan is to start three new games a year. To attract new players, the first two games will be open to anyone. The third game will be the annual championship match, where the top players from the new open games will face the defending champions. This includes several past game winners, and other proven strong players from previous championship games.

I first discovered Stars! many years ago, in the "pre internet" days of the 386, when I was a co-sysop on a local BBS. I guess I hosted about a dozen games back then. Most were only a few local players, but I did manage to find a couple other BBSes that were hosting Stars!, and organized a few "league" games. Then the internet became popular, the BBS folded, and I lost contact with the few players that I knew. But while moving a few years ago, I rediscovered the old ZIP file, and decided to do a web search on Stars!. To my surprise I found a well established community.

Today I maintain an e-mail list of Stars! players, and currently have about 100 members. These folks get an early reminder when I start a new open game. If you would like to join my e-mail list, drop me a line at starmaster2400@yahoo.com
