As you probably know, there aren’t many positive outlets for high school teens today. The St. Catherine’s CYO was formed in 1992 to fill this void. After spending most of your childhood in either Catholic school or the CCD program, where you were fed fact after fact about the catholic faith, many of you couldn’t wait to finally make your Confirmation and forever be done with catechism. What most teens, however, can’t comprehend is that the CYO isn’t catechism. At least not in the classroom/textbook way you are used to. Instead, the CYO is group designed to allow you to act with that knowledge and do good in your community. Here are a few of the things that the CYO is involved in throughout the year….
