Welcome To Steffini's Homepage

This site is mainly to show my quilting progresses on my various quilting projects. On going ones such as my Dear Janes and Dear Hannah quilts, as well as any others I am in the process of working on.
This will be a work in progress (like the rest of my "crafts") as I am still learning how to make a web page from scratch.
For those that would like to know a little about me, I have been quilting since 2000. I did my first large quilt, a over sized queen, in 2001. Prior to that I only did wall hangings. I love to sew quilts and crafts. I just learned to knit a year ago and am an addict. I think I have almost the same amount of UFO's in my knitting as I do in quilting.
I guess there is something to my hubby, Bear's, thoughts that I must have ADD as I can not sit still for long nor can anything keep my attention for long lol. I also cross stitch and am trying to master crocheting but would not be holding my breath for that to happen!!! LOL!!!
I am married to the love of my life, whom I affectionately call Bear. We have been married 8 years. As of 2005, I have been riding my own motorcycle and loving it. Bear and I enjoy riding together and seeing different places on our motorcycles. We live with a "cow" other wise known as a dog, Bandit. We are also allowed to co-exist with a cat, Smokey.

I am always working on some quilt. I collect patterns that I just KNOW I will do ONE DAY!

My Scrappy Baby Jane -This is my virtual wall of my Baby Dear Jane quilt. I have to thank Sharon Mastbrook for her hard work in making and allowing others to use her design wall so that others may see your progress.
The story behind my starting this journey with Jane began innocently enough. A lady I worked with was working on hers and would bring her blocks in so I could see them. I eventually got the book. It still took me another year to finally get it into gear and actually start. The journey begun on March 26, 2007, 11:57pm, with the completion of the first block, A1 (Pinwheel gone awry). And did it ever lol. It is not exactly the best block I have done, but I will not redo it as it was the 1st block. I have decided not to redo any of the blocks that I have done. My first appliqué block was J1. I am the first one to tell anyone that I am appliqué challenged. LOL! I love doing cross stitch, but am not a fan of hand appliqué or embroidery. But I will persevere!
My World Friendly Jane - This baby Jane is being made entirely by all the other "Janiacs" out there with whom I have swapped with. The one thing that does help with my Scrappy Jane is this one. As I make blocks for others, I make the same one for my scrappy one. So each block that goes gets adopted to a new home and family in the world, has a twin in my scrappy quilt as well.
My Dear Hannah - I figured I might as well do this one, as well, at the same time as I am working on the baby Jane. My first block was finished on March 30, 2007. I hope to start working on it again. It seems I have placed it on the back burner at this time, some how.
Siggie Quilt 2007 (so far) Here are pictures of my Siggie Quilt. *****UPDATE!!!***** Siggie quilt is complete as of April 1, 2008, 3 am. Pictures have been added of the complete quilt, as well as a picture of each individual siggie. All 224 of them. They are posted in the order they are in the quilt! This has been such a blast that I am doing this again for 2008.
Quilts Here are pictures of my other quilts I have made through out the years. Some are just tops. Eventually I will get them completed lol! I seem to be real good at making the tops... its completing them from there thats the problem lol. I apologize for some of the poor quality of the pictures.
I hope everyone that comes to my page enjoys it.
