Are you looking for someone you can trust to
come into your home or business? "I think I have a computer virus or some spyware?" Computer viruses and the very similar scourge of "spyware" can hardly be distinguished from each other any more. A classic computer virus typically does some deliberate damage to the computer's software, such as erasing important parts of Windows, changing or erasing popular programs such as Quicken, Quickbooks, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Outlook Express, etc. Some nasty viruses erased the main "locator" index of hard drive files. Other viruses would install a command to shut down Windows just as soon as it started up. Spyware is web-site phenomenon. Where viruses usually came into your computer from trick or fake email messages, spyware comes into your computer mainly from nasty or fake websites; however it may start with a trick or fake email message that gets you to go to a website that is a "hoax" or imposter of a real web site such as your bank's website, or Ebay or Paypal. A entirely new class of virus and spyware is starting to take over: the "monetary hijacker" instead of the malicious destroyer. Virus writers have gotten wise, and realize there is money to made from their evil skills. Increasingly, viruses spend their time collecting passwords and credit card numbers and codes. Or, they create a fake and false environment warning you of security breaches that apparently can only be fixed by you purchasing their "helpful" antivirus software. Yeah, right................ Viruses and spyware should HOPEFULLY be identified and stopped by an antivirus or antispyware program (from such famous antivirus companies such as Norton/Symantec, McAfee, TrendMicro, Sophos, Computer Associates, AVG Grisoft or Avast. However, and surprisingly, many of these famous software packages seem completely unable to stop many viruses, and once the virus installs itself in your computer, the famous software company's antivirus program simply cannot remove the virus, no matter how many times you try! Some clever viruses are able to install themselves deep inside Windows, and they trick Windows into running the virus (and its companions, yes some viruses create "helpers" that watch for antivirus removal programs or actions, and immediately restart the virus if that happens) every time Windows starts up. Some viruses even instruct Windows to reload the virus every time ANY Windows command is performed. Imagine how difficult that is to remove! I am able to deal with any of these viruses. I use special tools outside of the commercial anti-virus arena to identify the virus files so that I can either erase or outwit the virus in order to set up to delete it from your computer. You will not find many people like me skilled in the art of virus removal, which must be performed in order to get your computer back to reliable operation.
