If  you live in Colorado, and have observed what you consider to be an unusually bright meteor (a fireball), please fill out the form on this page: Cloudbait Observatory. Your report will be recorded and forwarded to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science for possible follow-ups.

If  you wish to report a bright meteor observation outside of Colorado and neighboring states, or  you wish to report a phenomenon other than a meteor, then please scroll down and fill out the form on this page below.

Please provide as much detail as you can including:
1) The exact time and duration of the sighting
2) Approximate directions of the beginning and ending of your sighting. Note your exact location and reference to local landmarks if you are unsure of directions.
3) Angular displacement of observations from beginning to end. (As a rough guide, your fist held at arm's length is about 10 degrees across. Here is a good site: http://www.austinastro.org/angles.html)
4) Colors, changes and all detail you can remember relating specifically to the sighting.
5) A list of other observers, if available.
6) Any nearby facilities or landmarks such as airports, military installations and the like.
7) Specific observing conditions such as bright moonlight, the presence of nearby or obscuring lights including on-coming traffic, and so on.
