Jeff Howard was the instructor for this Valentines Day weekend workshop in Long Beach WA. Yes, Jeff's kitemaking talents are wide and varied. I did not join the class, but did drop ion to see what was happening.
Mark Davis was there. An experienced kite builder, Mark says this was a complex kite to build. As one who would need help sewing up a simple kite bag, I would have to agree.
Getting all the final assembly instructions
down, was Jeanette Mandanas, as Dave Jam worked on the rod
pockets.
Jeff was on the move all day, from one kite
maker to the next, imparting his advice on constructing the Cody
Kite.
Brett Kilekas was there, making his first kite. Sure Brett start simple...and work your way up.
This student has done this before. Made it look easy.
This is the sample Cody that Jeff made for the class to copy. It is called the 4 Foot Cody Kite. The cost of the course was $30.00 which included 8 graphite rods, fittings, and bridle lines. Students suppied thier own fabric and tools.
