I started flying kites as an adult, back in 1990. I flew dual line stunt kites in competition for several years in the Northwest circuit of the American Kite flyers Association. That was fun and exciting. If you are interested in flying sport kites, I highly recommend entering a kite flying competition in your local area. You will learn quickly, how to control the kite, and how to enjoy flying beyond any level you think possible.
In 1993 I was invited to try kite buggy'ing during the A.K.A. National convention in Seaside Oregon. I got the bug alright.
