Abilities:
Conceptualizing and designing web sites-
- Creating overall web site concept and layout,
- Creating and/or modifying all graphics on PC-based graphics software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel),
- Scanning hardcopy material for electronic conversion,
- Integrating into web coding using HTML software (Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash),
- Liaison with webmasters and ISPs to upload web sites by FTP or e-mail transfer.
Conceptualizing and designing print-based documents, logos, business cards, and brochures-
- Creating overall document concept and layout,
- Creating and/or modifying all graphics on PC-based graphics software, including document covers and internal illustrations and graphics,
- Laying out documents in PC-based document software (InDesign, PageMaker, Quark),
- Transferring and formatting text and graphics from other electronic document formats,
- Scanning hardcopy material for electronic conversion,
- Output of comps, prepress, printer files, electronic versions of documents in PDF format,
- Liaison with printers and with the Government Printing Office (GPO) in arranging and specifying printing projects.
Conceptualizing and designing document CDs-
- Creating overall CD concept and layout,
- Creating and/or modifying all graphics on PC-based graphics software, including CD covers, CD faces, and internal illustrations and graphics,
- Laying out documents in PC-based document software (InDesign, PageMaker, Quark),
- Transferring and formatting text and graphics from other electronic document formats,
- Organizing document files on CD, including self-start software,
- Output of comps, prepress, printer files, electronic versions of documents in PDF format,
- Liaison with printers and with the Government Printing Office (GPO) in arranging and specifying CD printing projects.
