- Co-wrote and presented "Writing for the Web," a presentation for employees of the General Services Administration (GSA) to teach appropriate writing style for documents destined for the GSA portal site. Presentation included basic grammar rules, web-based grammatical and organizational practices, description of Section 508 of the Accessibility Act (aka the Americans with Disabilities Act) and 508-compliance, and examples of 508-compliant web writing practices. Presentation was well-received, and I was asked to return and present it at the next GSA conference.
- Reports of office technology status and potential at Coopers & Lybrand, The Heritage Foundation, and Woodward Communications. Reports included examinations of the use of existing computer, network, and print-based technology, descriptions on areas where technology was either under-utilized or inadequate for the goals of departments and /or the organization at large, and recommendations for improvements and augmentations to existing systems to simplify and streamline operations, and improve performance.
- 508-compliant descriptions for photos, diagrams and illustrations to be posted on the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) web site, and on websites for private industry.
- Ongoing commentary and contribution in discussion forums on multiple technology and e-book dedicated websites, including MobileRead, Chronicles Network, PocketPCThoughts, eBook Array, and Yahoo Community Forums.
- Content for five personal websites, including introductory text, FAQs, section descriptions, commercial and sales copy.
- Technology commentary and opinion articles and blogs, posted (often weekly) on three personal websites since 1996.
- Nine fiction novels, which have been sold online as e-books on SteveJordanBooks.com since 2005. Novels have been favorably reviewed by readers and reviewers on e-book dedicated sites.
