About Us

There she is, at home behind our display, waiting for one of the local shows to open.
Stephen P. Truax was born in Montreal Canada and moved to Atlanta in the 80's. A wonderful marriage has resulted. Their mutual interest in the arts has created beautiful times together in their travels, both for the sake of visiting family and pursuing the knowledge of their chosen field.
There he is at right, hard at work (yeh right), demonstrating Emu egg carving at an outdoor show. Steve has won numerous awards for his painting, wood carving as well as egg sculpture. His art is realistic, while not photographic. He has appeared several times on television demonstrating his egg carving. Included here is an appearance on the DIY (Do It Yourself) channel. He loves to paint portraits of animals (people too).Steve has also studied with the artists named above, as well as with master carver Keith Hone in Utah and Las Vegas and Bill Janney in Sarasota, Florida.
