Parent Conduct Expectations

1.       Parents will observe games from the opposite side of the field from the players and coaches.

2.       Parents are asked to provide encouragement only from the sidelines. Please do not yell instructions to players because it may create confusion and conflict with the coach’s ideas.

3.       Parents will not harass referees, players or coaches at any time under any circumstances

4.       Parents will not approach a coach during practices or games to discuss coaching decisions.

5.       If a parent has an issue regarding a coaching decision, s/he may call them at home to set up a time to talk away from the field.

6.       The In-House Coordinator and/or President will provide mediation and input if either party of a dispute feels it is necessary.

7.       Remember: you as parents are role models, so be careful of your actions and words.

Player Conduct Expectations

  1. Players will be responsible for wearing the proper equipment at each practice and game:

·        Shin guards with socks covering them

·        Soccer shoes or tennis shoes – Double-tie your laces!!

·        Team T-shirt will be tucked in for all games

·        No jewelry, hats or hair ornaments that could cause injury if hit, shall be worn.

  1. Players will bring water bottles with your name labeled clearly to each game and practice.

  1. Players will remain with their team members and coaches on the opposite of the field from spectators.

  1. Team members will respect the decision of the coaches and play the requested position without discussion.

  1. Players will be respectful of the referees’ decisions even if they do not agree with the outcome.

  1. No foul language, or hurtful comments to players on your own or the opposing team will be tolerated.

  1. Remember:  Your team members and community look upon you as examples of sportsman-like behavior.  Think of how you would like to be treated and treat others fairly.
